There is plenty of it to go around and I mean plenty. This is not the season any of us were expecting and that is including this coaching staff.
It is the offense? It it the defense? Special teams made sure this week they were not left out of the conversation.
It all boils down to coaching.
Defensively we have the athletes to compete. It’s play calling there. The Dline is not getting time to even create pressure because the All Conference/All American corners are playing 5 yards off. So that means quick slants and post routes are always available.
They are playing bend don’t break defense. That works until your offense is running break don’t bend.
I keep hearing that the defense is not coming up with the big plays when needed. But should we need it when you force a punt, a missed field goal, and three turnovers in the same game.
That’s 5 stops and one resulting in the offense starting at the 6 yard line.
We all know this post could go on for days. We all see it and hope it gets better soon. The margin for error is gone to make a bowl.
