If anyone in the AD reads this board, here's some feedback: get significantly better at merch capacity planning.
I drove in from Denver for this game and have now been to 4 rally houses in the KC/Lawrence area trying to buy a Blackhawk jersey and the tee. No one has anything. Yesterday in the Lawrence locations while I was searching for about 5 min, several other folks walked in looking for the same stuff. Some Rally house staff has told me they are fielding countless calls and a stream of folks coming in looking for the special merch.
On one hand this is awesome, there is excitement around the program and the game. Also, you did an awesome job with creative on this, the jerseys are a hit. It is a good problem to have. On the other hand, I am actively driving around trying to spend ~$130 on some fabric which is probably <$10 COGS. You are really missing an opportunity here. Also, the golf hat fiasco, also the HCBS 2022 pullovers, probably others...
