Really wasting time today....

Bill Self
1. 2008 - 19.0 - National Champs
2. 2010 - 17.4 - 2nd Round
3. 2007 - 16.7 - Elite Eight
4. 2011 - 16.5 - Elite Eight
5. 2006 - 13.9 - 1st Round
5. 2020 - 13.9 - COVID
7. 2016 - 13.7 - Elite Eight
8. 2013 - 13.3 - Sweet Sixteen
9. 2012 - 11.8 - National Runner-Up
10. 2017 - 11.3 - Elite Eight
11. 2009 - 11.0 - Sweet Sixteen
12. 2022 - 10.9 - National Champs
13. 2005 - 9.8 - 1st Round
14. 2018 - 9.5 - Final Four
15. 2014 - 8.9 - 2nd Round
16. 2004 - 8.6 - Elite Eight
17. 2023 - 7.3 - 2nd Round
18. 2025 - 6.5 - 1st Round
19. 2015 - 6.3 - 2nd Round
20. 2021 - 6.0 - 2nd Round
21. 2024 - 5.7 - 2nd Round
22. 2019 - 5.6 - 2nd Round

Results aren't shocking. 6 of the top 9 made at least the Elite Eight.
Self has never made it past the first weekend with a differential under 8.5.
Only made it to the second weekend twice with a differential under 10.8 (2004 & 2018)

2006 got a raw deal.
Young team started the year unranked. Went 10-6 to start the year.
Then went on a run going 15-1, winning the Big 12 regular season and conference tournament, where they avenged their only loss in that stretch in the B12TCG to Texas by double digits.
Still wound up with a 4 seed while Texas got a 2.
Bradley was #25 on KenPom and got a 13 seed, and won 2 games. If we get a 3 seed, or not the best 13 seed maybe ever, who knows what happens.

Roy Williams
1. 1990 - 19.8 - 2nd Round
2. 1997 - 18.8 - Sweet Sixteen
3. 1998 - 17.2 - 2nd Round
4. 1992 - 16.4 - 2nd Round

5. 2002 - 16.2 - Final Four
6. 2003 - 15.8 - National Runner-Up

7. 1996 - 15.3 - Elite Eight
8. 1993 - 14.7 - Final Four
9. 1991 - 14.6 - National Runner-Up

10. 1995 - 13.0 - Sweet Sixteen
11. 2001 - 12.7 - Sweet Sixteen
12. 1994 - 12.2 - Sweet Sixteen
13. 1989 - 10.1 - Not Eligible
14. 2000 - 8.6 - 2nd Round
15. 1999 - 7.6 - 2nd Round

Similar to Self, under 10 points keeps you in the first weekend.
Different from Self, Roy's went 5-4 with his top 4 teams, with only 1 Sweet Sixteen.
His Final Four are all middle of the pack for Roy, but if you put them up with Self, each of them would be Self's 5th best team.

Overrated/Underrated
Bill Self
Overrated: 2023. Got a 1 seed with 7 losses and a point differential of only 7.3. Lost in the second round to an 8 seed.
Underrated: 2006. See above.

Roy Williams
Overrated: No one really, but if I had to pick I'd say 1995. 1 seed who 7/15 in total losses and 10/15 in point differential. Lost in Sweet Sixteen to #4 UVA (who won in OT vs #12 Miami (OH) in the previous round).
Underrated: 1991. 3-seed, made the championship game.

What does it mean? Who knows. I guess temper your expectations if we don't average double digit wins in the future.
