This season isn't on Beaty. It is on Zenger for letting Weis run the program into the dirt, and it is on Gray-Little for her lack of leadership in football since she stepped foot on the KU campus. Does anyone think we would be in this situation if Budig were still the chancellor. He would have taken names and cleaned house a long, long time ago. He would have been totally involved in the hiring after Gill was fired. Gray-Little punted.

I will hand it to Zenger for being man enough to fire Weis three games in, because that was an indictment of Zenger, but he was man enough to do it and I know he is going to do everything in his power for football. Gray-Little, not really sure what she does?

We can and will get better. First we have to establish a program and that is what Beaty is doing. You can't have a program when you have 4 head coaches in 8 years. Any fool should be able to see that. KU has not had a football program since Mangino left and now Beaty has to re-establish it from ground zero.

So quit the belly-aching and support coach Beaty! The man and his staff are fantastic recruiters and hard workers. They also are the kind of coaches that will make changes and learn from experiences and mistakes. I expect to see vast improvement in coach Beaty's first real year, which starts now, today. Beaty never once made an excuse for what he inherited, not one time. That is the kind of man he is.

BEATY IS 0-0. And I thank him for having the balls to take on this job. I know things are going to get better from here. But how about a little support from the very top? KSU Chancellors know what football can do for university, but ours is clueless.
