Can someone explain whether Bautista violated the rules on his slide? I thought there was a new rule on how a player can go into second in an effort to break up a double play.
Seems there is much sentiment against Odor for the punch and the only explanation is the bat flip last year, but looked to me like the slide could have injured him and he may have been angered by it as well.
