Wow, that’s tough to overcome!
It got me thinking about analytics and how much some teams are buying into shooting more threes.
I have never seen this stat, but would love to know what the offensive rebound percentage is on three’s versus two’s. Another words, it seems that 3’s are harder to defensive rebound than two’s, therefore it helps the argument to shoot more threes.
Obviously if you can shoot 40% or higher from 3, it’s a no brainer to shoot a lot. But maybe if you offensive rebound a significant amount of 3’s, maybe you only need to hit 30% to make it a winning strategy?
