Kentucky hit on Anthony Davis and Kidd-Gilchrist in 2012 and won it all. Also lost first round in the NIT the next year with a group of OADs. Duke hit with Jabari Parker and still went home early to Lehigh. KU will always try and get the best players here and will sometimes hit and miss. Cliff was known to have a motor, look how that turned out. Willie Cauley Stein was supposed to be lazy and well he's got a motor.
KU will be fine. These guys are going to get older and with that tougher. Hopefully HCBS can find some way to land some talented recruits with a MKG kind of attitude. Malik Newman seems like he fits the bill. I'm sure coach is trying his hardest to find a way to get this KU team better and tougher.
