Adidas (KU) - UK ( Nike) question?

I just read an article talking about UK picking up steam with Peterson. Didn't he sign a NIL deal with Adidas? With that in mind, I'm confused as to why, after signing a deal with Adidas, there is now possible interest in UK (Nike)
