I am trying to find out what the military will call the end of this war. I just don't want it to be called a "defeat". What many civilians don't realize is that when a military unit is defeated in battle and leaves their colors remain. I don't think this has happened since Viet Nam. Everyone refers to this as a war. It just wouldn't be fair to the troops. The onus of the pass 20 years should hang in the White House and not on the back of any US military unit.
