I went to the Brown game and I know they aren't Big12 caliber. However, Shaq Moore should play 15 minutes a game if healthy. I bet when he's healthy he's almost as explosive in his first step as Dotson, and his lateral quickness and defensive pressure are too interesting to me to not use for at least 15 minutes per game. This might eat into Coits minutes but I still think Coit can and should play 15 mpg too as he's tenacious and he's shooting 45% from 3. Mayo and Harris are too skilled and complimentary to play less than 28 minutes per game so I'm interested in playing 5-8 minutes per game with Mayo at the 3 so we can play all 4 of these guards the aforementioned approximate minutes.

Since Griffen looks like the wing starter because of his fit as a 3 and D guy I think this could relegate Storr to a permanent bench role where he may only play closer to 20 minutes per game all season which is much less than what I thought initially going into the season. I hope he can embrace the role of a weapon off the bench, especially attacking the rim in the second half as teams start to wear down, and perhaps collect that bag and blow up next season when KJ leaves him a starting spot.

I'm starting to realize that Self is not likely to allow Storr to play much at the (4) where I thought he could be valuable for us. He just loves KJ and eventhough KJ isn't playing 36 minutes per game like he did last year I think Self will continue to play him for 28 minutes or so at the 4, leaving only about 20 mpg off the bench for Storr as a hybrid 3/4, unless he can take more PT from KJ, which is going to be difficult.

My long winded question is, if we indeed are going to play both KJ and HD for 27-29 minutes per game, would you agree that playing our (4) guards increased roles, playing occasionally with 3 guard lineups, and allowing for more aggressive play on both ends from our guards be another good way to use this year's roster? It's a small sample size but I like these 4 guards and I do believe they are our strongest part of the team. Especially the skill compliment of Harris and Mayo..
