With the end of the offseason soon approaching, figured I would get one more of these threads out of the way. Any prospects you have seen lately that have caught your eye? Here are a couple I like...
Christian Johnson - 6' 3" 250 lbs DE prospect out of El Paso, this kid fires off the ball. Doesn't have a composite highlight clip, so you have to go through each of his game clips. Very impressed with his ability to get off the ball with his size, maybe he grows into a DT, but with that explosion could stick at DE
Ken McLaurin - a little bit surprised he hasn't gotten more offers being he plays for a good school in Denton Ryan, listed as a DE, be he plays DT in HS and at 6' 4" 275 lbs with his frame I think he is a DT all the way. I could see him blowing up during his senior season as he has a good combination of strength and explosion off the line. Another game highlight type clips, but look for number 5 at the DT spot
Devonte Porter - one of those kids that doesn't realize how good he can be and doesn't have a real set position yet. At 6' 6" 255 lbs, he is listed as a TE but could project to a number of spots. I like him best as DE and think he could get to 275 lbs and be a freak at DE, but he will have to be disciplined, hit the weights hard, and probably a few years away from being ready to contribute...but the potential is there...his clips...
