I was thinking about how large the transfer portal class is and then the challenges of bringing in so many players at one time.
Usually the biggest report day has been June when high school players arrive with a small number of spring portal players. You get the summer to get everyone involved in the program. If they take summer school the class load is usually lighter. Basically you get eight weeks to get used to the program, demands of S&C, and settle in.
But this coming week, I can see things being different. Between portal players and high school players reporting this week you are going to have over 25 new players on campus. In less than a week school starts. They have never had to deal with this many players coming at one time in the winter. I was talking to someone and they said there will be a lot of work that needs to be done and a time crunch, because there is a much quicker turnaround than summer.
