I recently had a chance to catch up with Louisiana LB/DE prospect Tahj Brown, one of the many players Kansas is targeting in the state. He had some pretty interesting things to say about the program.
Here's a portion of his comments on the Jayhawks:
Kansas: "That was my first major offer. It means a lot that they were the first ones to believe in me and it really sparked my recruitment up. Right after that I got a bunch of offers and that loyalty and belief they had in me is real big for me. They are recruiting Louisiana well, they are recruiting some big-time athletes and they are recruiting me really hard and telling me a priority. Everyone I've talked to from there has told me it’s like a family at Kansas. That’s one of the main reasons the other guys from Louisiana committed there, just that family feel.
