I'm sorry to post this, because I really hoped DB would be the answer when he was ch9sen as HC. But, a place like KU has to zig when everyone else is zagging.
To try and run air raid/spread when everyone else is doing the same, and try to recruit the same players is asinine. Hire someone that is a hard nosed, run the ball and play defense first type coach, that can recruit to that kind of kid. Trying to run spread, and recruit against teams that have an inheirant advantage over us is folly.
We need a run based line, athletic/aggressive defense, and dual threat QB, more run than pass, to even attempt to compete in this league. Period.
I believed in Fritz last time, and would believe in him this time. Its time to make a change to qb old fashioned fb coach with grit and character. Talk is cheap, obviously.
