You can say the caravan in Mexico is a risk, but I think most would admit it's a small one considering they are a long way from the US border, their numbers are dwindling, and they are supposedly seeking legal entry via asylum. But turning the caravan into a political scare tactic is clearly the Rs MO right now, and commentators and politicos have obliged by saying the caravan is an invading army, is threatening the US's sovereignty, is bringing with it Middle Easterners and ISIS, and is filled with criminals. The reality of course is no where near that racial play, but the worst has to be Fox's new line that they are bringing disease with them. Included in the list cited: smallpox, a disease eradicated 40 years ago from Earth.
