I think the KU Orange Bowl team in 2008 had between 14-17 players from Oklahoma. Mangino and his staff recognized the level of, and the competitive nature of Oklahoma High School football. His staff recruited, and did really good in recruiting Oklahoma. This is a very good year for football players in Oklahoma High Schools. Since HC Leipold and his staff like to recruit high school players, I hope they start looking at and recruiting players from Oklahoma, especially in the Tulsa area.
