We are going to seriously need to hit the portal for an experienced scorer. Looking at it now, we either beg MJ to stay (not playing the first two games of the tourney indicates to me that he is gone) and he could become our scorer, or we have to ask Joe to be the scorer. I think Joe is the only guy on the roster with MJ gone that has the most PROVEN scoring ability, even tho he was pretty awful offensively this season.
So, who’s the scorer?
I know he has caused issues, but I am giving Eddie Lampkin a call (not to be a scorer but we need some toughness on next years roster) and I’m scouting the nation for any junior-senior who is a proven scorer who can step right in. Otherwise, we may be looking at a growth year next year for sure.
Edit: Moved Kyle Cuffe to leaving the program as he’s not played more than a few minutes in his time here and I would expect him to transfer and free up a scholarship.
