On Monday afternoon and Monday evening, I was able to exchange a few text messages with Tyrone Outlaw, the 6-foot-6, 215-pound small forward from Lee College in Baytown, Texas. According to Outland, Coach Jerrance Howard was in the gym on Monday to watch Outlaw workout. Also, Outlaw told me that Coach Bill Self had originally planned to attend, but was unable to, so Coach Howard made the trip alone.
At this stage, no offer has been extended and no visit set yet. However, if Outlaw is invited to Kansas for a visit, that will definitely change.
This past season, Outlaw, in 30 games, averaged 21.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. Furthermore, he shot 50.2 percent from the field and 43.5 percent from behind the arc.
