So I think we all realize Texas recruiting will be critical for our return to good football. While it's always been a recruiting hotbed I can't imagine it's ever been more competitive than it is right now. The SEC is now in there strong thanks to A&M. Texas, TCU, and Baylor being the programs they are have never been collectively stronger. OU is still OU. Tech still gets their share. And now we have U of H and SMU with very good coaching staffs with strong Texas connections. Just something that struck me with UH making some big news recently on the recruiting trail.
I'm still optimistic our staff can find many Texas kids via their connections but of course we'll need Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri and the odd other states here and there to contribute as it's never been more competitive in Texas.
