I threw out MO state which was 2.7 ypc

Illinois - 28 for 139 (5.0 ypc)
Includes a 72 yard run which we had Dean Miller out there abandoning his pass rush lane.
Without it’s 67 (2.39 ypc)

BYU - 22 for 9 (0.4 ypc)

UCF - 38 for 202 (5.3 ypc)
Includes a 53 yard run
Without its 149 (4.02 ypc)

You’re looking at 88 for 350 (3.97 ypc) or 86 for 225 (2.61 ypc)

Now I know what people will say about taking out the biggest runs, but there is a difference between allowing 5 yards per actual carry versus a 5 yards per carry average inflated by one huge run. Because you look back at the game tape and you see one glaring correctable rather than 56. Down to down we have played well against the run at home.

OU doesn’t like to run and uses its short quick passing game in the flats as a form or rushing the football. I don’t know why we play the run so much better at home, but we do. If we can do that tomorrow then I think OU will sweat. Gabriel is efficient when OU can attack you multiple ways. Make him beat you consistently from the pocket in long distances facing pressure in the rain, I like our odds.
