About 5 years ago I was driving back into Lawrence on highway 59, heading north towards Iowa Street. It was a rainy night and about 4am (I was headed back from the Casino in Oklahoma), when I saw a large cat, possibly a cougar, in the median. Has anybody heard or seen anything like this? All my buddies were asleep in the car, and I was in shock. I’m certain that I saw a big cat, and wondered if anybody else has any knowledge of them in that area just south of Lawrence.
