Killers of Arbery request Confederate flag on truck not be shown to jury

For those that don't remember, Ahmaud Arbery was out for a jog when a group of white guys chased him down with their truck, assaulted him, then killed him with their gun. You may also recall that a number of people on this board were quick to jump to the defense of the white guys, arguing it wasn't likely race-based...at least until it came out they were dropping the n-word. They are now asking the court to blur or remove any imagery that shows they had a license plate with the Confederate flag. But if the Confederate flag is just a part of our history and heritage and shouldn't be seen as racial, why are they concerned with people seeing it when they are defending themselves for running down and killing a black man?
