I was reading this article thinking about the supposed need for these cuts. As you might guess, I am a fiscal spending hawk and hate waste in so many ways. However, the military is an area that I've always had problems cutting. By far, to me, the military is the biggest and most awesome responsibility that the federal government has. Lord knows, I'm constantly knocking down Congressional spending sprees on crap we don't need, but we need our military and I have a problem cutting it.
I have a real problem cutting anything out of the military budget and can't think of a single thing that is extraneous/unneeded. Thoughts?
