I curious about stadium capacities for schools in the B1G and Big 12 of programs who have had about the same amount of success as KU has had over the years. These are schools like Purdue, Indiana, Illinois, Okie State, Arizona etc....Iowa has a capacity of 69,250 in Kinnick Stadium on the high side and UCF and Baylor on the low side at 45,000. BYU gets 63,000 for most of their home games and Jack Trice in Ames gets 61,500. Most of the schools I was comparing KU to were between 50,000 and 52,000. If KU continues the success that they have had under Leipold what would be the ceiling for attendance of future games in Lawrence? I would think 60,000 which would put us on par with Tx Tech, WVU, Purdue, Illinois, Okie St and BYU.
