Already missing the ball on the tee

I'm watching the speeches right now and the Ds are giving the GOP a free pass. They are expressing shock at the President's words and how those words created this problem, instead of pinning it on the GOP lapel to every one that supported him. They are as culpable as he is, yet the Ds are walking away from hammering them. I recognize the most magnanimous path is to turn the page, but this isn't a turn the page moment - right wing supporters committed sedition. Everyone involved needs to be stained with this, yet predictably the Ds are meekly walking away - at least what I'm seeing right now.
