New Dillons coming to The Crossings (West Campus, located on the corner of 21st and Iowa Street)

LAWRENCE, Ks. (KCTV) - A new Dillon’s grocery store is just one of many additions to The Crossing at KU.
Dillon’s plans to hire 150 associates for this new store which will be 30,000 square feet bigger than its current location.
Steve Dreher, President of Dillon’s stores, spoke on the importance of Dillon’s to the Lawrence community.
“We’re honored to have served the community of Lawrence since 1960 and are excited to increase job opportunities and expand access to fresh and affordable food for everyone”.

Dan Martin, the president of KU Endowment spoke on the opportunities the new grocery store is expected to add.

“The expanded store, as well as the new employment opportunities this project will bring, are welcome additions for the Lawrence community and will serve as a springboard for ongoing economic development in the region. The Crossing will provide a truly unique place to live, work, and play, and Dillons will serve as an anchor to that experience.”

The more than 86,000 square foot new grocery store will be situated close to the northwest corner of Iowa Street and West 23rd Street and offers a range of goods and services, such as:
  • Fresh products in all departments
  • Murray’s Cheese
  • Starbucks coffee shop
  • Dillons Pick-Up for online shopping and delivery
  • A pharmacy with a drive-thru lane
