I'm guessing other YouTube TV subscribers like me received an email from them tonight indicating they will be dropping all Paramount owned/operated channels effective tomorrow (2/13/25) until a new carriage deal can be worked out.
This affects the following channels:
- CBS (thank God the NFL season is over)
- CBS Sports (don't watch it much but they do have some Big 12 games on there now)
- Nickelodeon channels
- Paramount (would be really pissed if Yellowstone had not yet concluded)
- Comedy Central
- Smithsonian Channel (I watch a lot of history stuff so this one stings)
- MTV related channels including VH1 and CMT
- BET channels
- TV Land
If you are already a Paramount+ subscriber and you subscribe to it outside of YouTube TV then you can still watch those channels. You just can't access them through YouTube TV.
I am not a Paramount+ subscriber but since I was a Showtime subscriber I could watch several of the Paramount shows through Showtime. I'm not sure if Showtime by itself is going away or not. At the very least, if you had the Paramount+ with Showtime package through YouTubeTV, that package will be going away until a new deal is reached.
Edit: Forgot to mention that anything you had added to your Library from those channels will be lost.
