Well, I could see them go with 4 even with a current likely 5 openings after this season (besides the one already taken up by Garrett)......I'm presuming Garrett sticks around.
NOW per the title......I'm going with "realistic".......NOT desirable.
I.e., they're not getting Duval, Preston, McCoy, Tr. Brown & Tr. Young......not getting 5, all in the Top 15-20 among these last recruits.
I'm going to say that "realistically"....
Maybe they could get:
Preston, PF
Ch. Brown, SG / SF
Weatherspoon, PG
Gak, C
And then for the 5th one I'm going to say a big transfer that would have to sit out a year since obvsiously Azubuike would be gone after '17/18 anyway.....kind of like how they got Maxwell to transfer and will have him for 2 seasons starting in the '17/18 season.
So - this what I think is realistic....could even be more optimistic than realistic....maybe the PF WON'T be a Top 8 overall guy.....maybe more like Riley (who's what? Like 34th)...So they'd end up with like 4 in the Top 40, but no one higher than ~ 25 or so. The cool thing being all w/ the talent to maybe be like 3AD but very unlikely any OADs.
Anyway, I'm still going w/ I think they can land Preston.....godfather or not that's not really family and USC? What can they sell him on? Taj Gibson made it from USC?!?!?!
Anyway - that would build a team of:
Graham / Weatherspoon
Newman / Mc. Garrett
Vick / Ch. Brown
Preston / Coleby / Lightfoot (while 3rd on the depth chart he'll still get some run and could be in for a huge ascension in '18/'19)
Azubuike / Maxwell / Gak
I know it sounds odd, but I think Preston might end up making the most noise on that roster.....he would fit TREMENDOUSLY!!! Heck, I'd argue better than Ayton.......don't get me wrong......not saying better than Ayton but man! how he fits what they'd be looking for and been used to dealing with, with Perry and all.....great fit!!!!
