It's that time of the year where every team is fighting the injury bug and WVU is no different. Their top RB Rushel Shell got injured against OkSU and missed the last half of the game. Their coach said he is day-to-day, so am guessing he plays although doesn't sound set in stone. Either way, doesn't sound like he will be 100%.
He isn't the only RB fighting injuries for WVU as their #2 and #3 RB both suffered injuries against Tech a couple of weeks ago. Both have played since then, but doesn't sound like either of them are 100% either.
I am curious if these RBs aren't 100% if they put more of the offensive load on Howard's shoulders passing the ball. He has been having a great season, but these past two weeks were his lowest passing totals of the year.
WVU is a solid all around team on offense, so if one part is hurting, they have the ability to rely on the other part. I am curious, though, to see how healthy they are in the backfield and if this influences their philosophy this upcoming game
