Thinking about WVU over the past few years I think of the likes of Kevin White and Tavon Austin (among others) making some pretty long plays and always being something to be scared about on every play. Their offense this year is a little bit different...but also a little bit surprising...

When you look at passing plays 10 yards and longer, West Virginia is 80th in the nation with 82 of them this year (note we are higher, but have played one game more than them). It gets even worse when you look at passing plays of 20 yards or longer where they are 104th in the nation with 24 of them. However after that, things change. They are 47th in the nation with passing plays of 30 yards or more (24), 24th in the nation with passing plays of 40 yards or more (15), and 27th in the nation with passing plays of 50 yards or more (5).

My loose translation of this is that they don't have a lot of big time passing plays, but when they do they usually go pretty far. Going to have to play disciplined and keep those big plays to a minimum.
