The WVU defense is almost the exact opposite on handling the redzone as the offense is scoring in the redzone
Similar to what I was looking at yesterday, the WVU defense has a discrepancy between points allowed per game and amount of yards allowed per game. They have a top 25 defense when it comes to points allowed, but are ranked 52nd in the nation in yards allowed per game.
Like the offense, a big reason is how they handle business in the redzone
WVU hasn't been great relatively speaking when it comes to stopping opponents from scoring in the redzone, allowing opponents to score over 85% of the time when they get in the redzone, ranking 75th in the nation. However, when opponents to do get in the redzone, they have done relatively well at stopping opponents from scoring a TD allowing opponents to score a TD only around 46% of the time they get in the redzone, ranked 10th nationally in this category.
It's a little bit of a bend-but-dont-break mentality, of which we will have to be disciplined against these guys in order to avoid another lopsided loss
