I really wonder how much people on here actually pay attention to college basketball when KU isn't involved in the game. Anyone who thinks Marshall's success is simply a result of Baker and VanVleet has no idea what they are talking about.
WSU has finished in The top 25 of Ken Pom for 5 straight years. Baker and VanVleet weren't even on the roster for 2 of those and they played the 8th and 9th most minutes on the final 4 team from the 3rd. WSU has had 4 different starting point guards and 5 different leading post scorers over that 5 year span.
The message in 2013 after the F4 was that they would fall off a cliff with Armstead and Carl Hall graduating. Last year it was Cleanthony Early leaving would crush them. It's time to stop looking ignorant. Marshall has built a program that's not going anywhere until he does. Dude is a machine...perhaps an unlikable one, but definitely an incredible coach in ALL Aspects of job other than PR.
Anyone want to pick back up our debate from a couple of months ago where I maintained that Marshall is the best coaching candidate around today if KU found themselves in the position of needing to replace Self? I might have at least one or two folks willing to be more open minded now....well probably not. The hate is strong....
