The more I think about it, I want it to be Montell Cozart. There are a couple of reasons for this. One big reason is that if Cozart can have success under Beaty, it is a huge sell on the recruiting front to take a kid like him that struggled his first couple of years and to make him a solid QB. Recruits would notice that and I think it would put us in position to land some really solid QB prospects going forward.
The second big reason also has to do with recruiting. Let's say we struggle this year but are competitive next year. That would be a sign that things are changing for the better. What better way for it to be done than for this to be led by a local kid. I think that would be a huge selling point on the local recruiting front as well.
