Where the Game Changed

I can’t help but feel this game completely shifted after that Skinner fumble on the reverse. We were up and had a chance to add to it before half time. He fumbled what would’ve been a pretty good gain. Then, that had to completely shift Grimes/LL’s game plan and they decided to waste the clock. However, Casey getting out of bounds was not a good idea and you could see LL upset. So my best guess is that Grimes wanted to waste the rest of the clock, but also put us in a situation where we could have a breakaway play. Regardless, those 3 plays are where we lost this game IMO. Illinois couldn’t score a TD up until we gave them a free pass.
