... hired Willie Fritz for our HC position?
Fritzy went to Georgia Southern in 2014 so it isn't possible to make a proper comparison to KU in 2015. Considering that it was just his second year, I must say that he did pretty darn well. Their 2015 record was 9-4 (6-2) and they went to, and won, a Bowl Game.

Then in 2016, he went to Tulane. Now they weren't running the triple option spread previously, so this would be a more even comparison to Beaty. I couldn't tell you what kind of shape their roster was in when he was hired to be Tulane's HC but their record last year was not exactly a thing of beauty - 3-9 (1-7). Fritz has a lot of work on his hands to turn Tulane around, but he's off to a reasonable start with a 2-2 record so far;

The big and obvious question is; Knowing what we know now about HCDB, and having had a look at what Willie Fritz has done since we turned him down (and hired Beaty instead), if it was back on December 5th, 2014, and you had a choice to hire either David Beaty or Willie Fritz to be our new coach, who would you hire and why?
