Should we go independent? I think you can make a case that KU might be better off being independent at that point than being in a reconstituted Big 12. If some of the reports are true that KU made a noticeable impression on ESPN+ subscriptions, maybe we can work out our own deal with ESPN and play a big time basketball schedule. I still think football will be able to schedule games because a lot of teams will see us as a win. Probably makes scheduling more difficult for our other sports. I think getting stuck in a leftover Big 12 conference would be bad for our brand and independence might be the better route.
