that we will still see somebody decide to leave before next season?
If Mickelson is graduating this spring, it still wouldn't surprise me to see him choose to go elsewhere if he's really wanting a lot more playing time.
I wasn't at practice everyday, but when he did play in games, it seemed that Mickelson was a better option for this team than a player or two who played in front of him.
He was the team's best shot blocker, he was aggressive, and he converted a high percentage of his free throws when he was fouled. Just having a decent shot from about 12 to 15 feet in made him more of a threat than most of our post players.
With Diallo and Bragg both coming in, what are the odds he will be given more of a shot at PT during his senior year? I wouldn't think real high!
It wouldn't surprise me at all that we find out he makes the decision to transfer elsewhere using the grad rule.
There are a lot of places where he will get 20-25 minutes a game, no problem.
Also, could Traylor see the writing on the wall and go elsewhere if he graduates this spring or summer? His potential is pretty much tapped out at this point. He's decently athletic, but he has trouble guarding some bigs. Guys like Georges Niang abuse him when he tries to guard them off the dribble. Also, his shot has regressed since he's been at KU. He will be a senior, but how much leadership does he really bring to the table and with guys coming in that have a lot more length, how much call is there for a 6'6 to 6'7 post player?
What are other's thoughts about this? Do you say no way or think it could be possible?
