Off Topic Visiting Los Angeles, to do?

Wife and I are taking a 4 night anniversary trip to L.A. in January. Have only been there once touring Cal-tech, visited Universal Studios. Will go on a boat tour of Channel Islands but other than that I'm not very knowledgeable of great things to do there.

Ideas?
