Wild finish in Charlottesville this evening.

UVA down 21-13, scores a TD with 36 seconds left in the game. After the play UVA’s RG headbutts a Wolfpack defender for a 15-yard personal foul to be enforced on the 2-point try.

Miraculously, UVA converts for an 18-yard 2-point play….but UVA’s QB takes off his helmet for a 15-yard personal foul to be enforced on the kickoff.

The Wolfpack take advantage of the foul with a long kick return into UVA territory. NC State winds up settling for a 48-yard FG attempt to win the game. UVA blocks the kick but a Cavalier jumped off the back of a fellow defender for another personal foul.

The Wolfpack then convert the 33-yard FG to win on the last play of the game.

Can’t believe that an academically elite school like UVA fielded a football 🏈 team that committed three boneheaded personal fouls in the last 36 seconds to throw away a game they should have taken to OT. Former UVA HC George Welsh is rolling over in his grave.

Not a good look for UVA HC Tony Elliott to say the least. If HCLL needs some film to remind players to keep their heads at the end of the game, show these clips for emphasis.
