Gildersleeve will be the guest on the show later.
Hawks and Highways tour was amazing and fun to meet so many "loyal KU fans". Talked about how he heard the stories how they want good football.
OFFENSE:
Great battle at QB and likes where they are. Likes depth at WR and TE. Kotelnicki creative with TE motions and shifts.
RB missing some guys from time to time. Gardner moving well. Neal doesn't play like an 18 year old and has taken steps.
OL area that needed improvement added some guys that will help make improvements.
On the wide zone you are trying to put stress on defense. Have to establish run game and take pressure off defense and keep them off the field. Wide zone creates gaps and schemes.
On each QB: Kendrick had outstanding summer and led guys. He continues to be steady. Daniels has transformed body under Gildersleeve is moving well. 2 weeks ago had to limit reps but has bounced back and always smiles. True dual threat guy. Bean is very quiet, tallest, fastest of bunch and good arm. The last 10 days he's been getting grasp of what they are doing.
Starting to see separation at QB.

On going on 4th down they use analytics and he understands the high tempo and scoring how people are going for it more on fourth downs. A lot of it depends on fourth down what you do on third downs. Once he started using analytics he started going for it more on fourth down.

LB group will be stressed a lot through season. The CB are talented but young.
Kenny Logan its been fun watching him. He loves being at KU and they have asked more of him to be a leader. Big play guy at KOR.

First time he used one coach focus on ST so doing that with Schoonover. Leipold heard great reviews about him. He's been impressed how it all has been out together. Kickers and punters have been consistent with ST in a fall camp comparing to Buffalo days.
Gildersleeve said the big gains in numbers was due to the "buy in" with players. The first thing they did when they got on campus is meet with everybody. Talked a lot about nutrition. They wanted to maximize every resource they could have used. Said the administration played a big part.
