Close to week away Leipold likes the maturity and put them through a lot of things. Credit to seniors.

Likes how midyear additions have taken big steps. Like the newcomers.

Always working on situational things and position battles. Fairly healthy and have to get a few guys back.

Players have had access to the facility and that's been good. Still commuting to fields on grass.

Hoping to come out of camp healthy as they can.

Said not sure if Caleb Taylor was fully bought in early but he started to develop and buy in. Was light and now he's over 300 lbs.

Has been slowed by what sounds like an injury the last week.

Said Jalon Daniels will start the opener.

Four days ago was the first time Daniels, Skinner, Grimm and Arnold were all on the same team together.

Burroughs, Wilson, Grimm in return game. Greaves doing the holding. The kicking game he says a battle and Tabor Allen and Weinrich sound like they are fighting for that job.

Said Dean Miller on the path to be like a Phelps or Booker who can be someone not talked about but develop into good player.

Also said Grant could be breakout player. Mentioned Burroughs one as well who had 2 INT today and a pick six.

When asked about Neal's presence on KU he has meant a lot to the school and program. Talked about other players as well who have changed it and made the program succeed. Said chancellor has talked about what a good program means.

Said on OL might not have a Puni but might be deeper 6-10.

Bumgardner and Foster still battling it out.

Feels good about Jeff Grimes as the OC and he had to go through some adjustments. Had to adjust to the way they practice.
