Leipold said they are ready to go they have an experienced group in their anticipation has grown to get the season going. He said it's time to play football.

Started off by talking about the construction and playing the games in Kansas City. Leipold said they are lucky to have the venues to play in. He said the players persevered through fall camp and spring football in the offseason not having a home all the time.

Anderson Family football complex is upgraded and that was a big priority for him. He said they wanted to do something for the group that's made this happen so they got things done for a lot of these guys senior years.

They are about 75% done there are some graphics and some things going up in the team room that have to get done.

Leipold talked about even the upper seats the angle that you have are a much better seat and view.

He said this is the largest senior class he's ever had. He talked about the growth of all of them as young men and making it through a coaching change. Leipold said they enjoy being around each other.

Having players in the program for this long has helped them become a player-led program. There are things that don't even get to the coaching staff now because they're taking care of by the players.

Bryce Foster is in the house and Lance said he has been a standout in fall camp. Said he's a mature guy and once he got more comfortable in Fall camp looked good. Lance said he is excited to see Logan Brown and Foster play with the offensive line

Bai Jobe is getting healthier and he gives them good athleticism at the defensive end spot. He mentioned Jobe as someone who looked good in fall camp.

When it comes to the transfer portal they don't want to rely on that but use it more to supplement the roster. Said Daniel Hishaw had one of his best fall camps.

Marvin Grant is healthy and is playing as well as he has. Burrows has become more vocal taking on a leadership role. The secondary has benefited from DK McDonald being there.

Skinner was slowed quite a bit in the summer and workouts and he's back healthy.

Kenean Caldwell was recruited to be a nose guard and has come through the transition and playing better and doing better in the classroom. Lance said there are so many talented guys on the perimeter but it's going to come down to what they do in the trenches.

A lot of players got votes for captain but the four who were named stood out.

Cornell Wheeler is coming off a good camp and we'll get his first start this thursday. His interception against Texas gave him a lot of confidence.
