Grimes said overall Lindenwood was not a great night got a slow start but then settled in.

They ran the ball because Lindenwood was in cover two.

He was pleased to see some frustration after the two TO and then they went to Grimm who was a spark for the offense.

Talked about running reverses and said they do it because it's the fastest way to get the ball on the edges. It puts stress on the defense.

I asked Grimes if they have an advantage because Illinois hasn't seen his full playbook. "I hope so" he said with a smile.

On rotating Brown and Gorczyca he said they both earned right to play and Logan won the job but wanted to them both.

Very aggressive on defense 90% of time five guys up on line and man coverage, using cover one. They disguise a lot and they have good speed on secondary.

The OL is going to get one on one matchups because Illinois brings five up front. It comes down to OL and WR winning their 1 on 1 battles.

Said there is a lot of trust in Jalon.

Being on the sidelines and calling plays Grimes likes that. Said they have good communication going from Zebrowski to Daniels.

You see game better in the box but if you have someone you trust in box he likes being on the field.

What Illinois does on defense makes it hard to double team linemen.

Said Devin has the best make you miss of any big back he's ever coached. And Hishaw doesn't want to make you miss.
