The House is expected to pass a bill requiring universal background checks in the next 100 days. Contrary to what the NRA and right-wing media would have you believe, the Dems are approaching this dire situation appropriately. It won't stop the "they're coming to get your guns" BS, but this is a great first step.
I'm really liking what I'm seeing from House Dems ... so far. Focus on policy. People want shit done. McConnell is going to kill 99% of what they propose, but come 2020, hopefully everyone knows what efforts were undertaken.
