For those that didn't notice, the TPP that Trump pulled us out of has gone into effect. The 11 nations that signed it equate to about 1/10th of the world's economy, eliminates trade barriers, includes a large number of countries needed to 'hem in' China, and helps sets trade standards that will cover much of the world's trade. While Trump is fighting with tariffs and rhetoric to try to eliminate trade barriers, countries like Canada and Japan are going to have exactly that, meaning US companies will be competing at a disadvantage (beyond what our trade wars are creating). Other countries, such as the UK and South Korea are looking to join.
