Happy about the hiring of Miles?
My point of view: He's older, has been out of coaching for a couple of years, was pushed out at LSU because he ran a conservative offense, something that will kill him in the Big 12, and he doesn't come with a set of assistants ready to go. For those reasons I'm not excited.
He's won big, is a splashy name, and built an OSU program, so those are reasons I am excited.
Overall, I'm cautiously optimistic. While I hated the Weis hiring in a way I don't this, that experience definitely gave me pause over the big name, formerly pushed out football coaching hires. He's a high risk high reward hiring.
