I think it is kind of interesting that it could be argued that the four most winnable games on our schedule are within the first six games of the season. That makes some sense because you would expect the non-con to be easier than the conference schedule, but of those 4 games I am counting at Iowa State (the 4th game of the year) and Texas Tech in Lawrence (the 6th game of the year) as the top four most winnable games along with SDSU and Memphis.
So to expand on that, for just this upcoming season, would you rather play the four most winnable games of the season in the first half of the season or second half?
I am a little bit torn on this. On one hand, I think this team will be better at the end of the season than at the beginning of the season (while noting that could be the case for the other teams as well), so wouldn't mind playing these teams when we are playing our best football. On the other hand, if we could pull off four wins within the first six games of the season, this team would have a ton of momentum that could possibly carry them the rest of the season.
So which is better - playing the four most winnable games of the season in the first half of the season or second half of the season?
