First of all, the clinic was great. Two or three times more coaches this year that last year.
Secondly, was talking to one of the big time Texas coaches. I asked him which team had the best recruiters. (thinking he would say Texas or Texas A and M) He said now he would have to say Kansas. The combination of Beatty and Perry is really good. I asked what made Beatty such a good recruiter, he said Beatty is real. The coach said he may talk to a hundred different recruiters. Out of that 100, there are 10 guys you would really like to spend time with. Out of the top 10, Beatty is one of the best. Sounds like KU is in good hands. Hope we are patient with this staff and give them a chance to build this program right.
He also said Texas A and M has replaced Texas as the school most Texas kids want to attend. Thought that was interesting.
