And not in any particular order are: many more immigrants entering this country, a better healthcare system, (not destroying the one we have, but improving coverage and optiosn), and improving of social security along with other reirement plans. For the first 200 plus years we have struggled with how much control from the federal government we want over the big programs. Well. immigrants come from countries to here for freedom and opportunity, but-and this is the big but-they are comfortable with fed control of healthcare and retirement. But when it comes to healthcare what separtates us from the rest of the world is that our healthcare for seniors is broader and better. And therefore more expensive. So the younger generations will be deciding how long they want to cover gramps and grannie. It ain't going to be pretty folks.
