Curious what people think on this since so many of you guys live in a variety of states. 17 legalized states, many more have decriminalized and on way to probably legalizing.
I heard a bit of interesting one when talking with a friend. It is legal in our state, but that company is paying state taxes. Those employees still get paid and pay federal taxes on their earned wages. The businesses are still paying federal taxes. Bit hypocritical that they want their money from what they consider illegal drugs but not allowing them safer ways to protect their earnings by being able to put into a bank. It would probably benefit the IRS as digital transactions, payroll and banking are easier to check for tax accuracy.
